Contractor Adjunct Assistant Professor-Anatomy/Physiology

We are seeking Adjunct Faculty to join our team. Required: Living outside the state of CA.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate online courses for pre-licensure Workforce Development Programs and/or BSN and MSN programs in CA, NM, AZ, NV.
• Instruct students using existing curriculum for assigned classes.
• Improve instruction quality using innovative methodologies/techniques.
• Assist with syllabus/instructional guideline review and revision.
• Evaluate student progress, providing timely feedback.
• Participate in strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives for quality assurance.
• Maintain student records (attendance, grades), and assist with program data collection.
• Use the Learning Management System (LMS) for course delivery.
• Provide ongoing student communication via office hours, electronic communication, etc.
• Participate in professional development and maintain CE hours.
• Be a subject matter expert (SME) for university/accreditation requirements.
• Serve on curriculum and evaluation committees.
• Conduct weekly recorded synchronous sessions (Zoom, MS Teams, etc.) for courses with unit/final exams.
• Hold a minimum of four (4) office hours weekly.
• Analyze and review exams for assigned courses.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse with current/unencumbered license (or eligible) in applicable states.
• Registered Nurse with current/unencumbered CA license.
• CA BRN approval as Instructor (Medical-Surgical, OB, Pediatrics, Mental Health, Community Health, Geriatrics).
• Master's Degree in Nursing.
• Terminal Degree in Nursing (DNP, EdD, PhD) preferred.
• Meet faculty requirements set by CA Board of Registered Nursing.
• Demonstrated current nursing practice knowledge.
• Proven ability to mentor students.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Prior pre-licensure nursing online teaching experience using an LMS.
• Documented background in educational methodology (education theory, current concepts, clinical practice, distance education).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
