Contractor Adjunct Assistant Professor

We are seeking Adjunct Faculty to facilitate online courses for pre-licensure Workforce Development Programs and/or BSN and MSN programs in CA, NM, AZ, and NV.

Responsibilities:

1. Instruct students using existing curriculum.
2. Improve instruction quality through innovative methodologies.
3. Assist with syllabus and instructional guidelines review/revision.
4. Evaluate student progress and provide timely feedback.
5. Participate in strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives.
6. Maintain student records (attendance, grades).
7. Utilize LMS for course delivery, ensuring relevance and currency.
8. Provide ongoing student communication through office hours, electronic communication, and other methods.
9. Participate in professional development, maintain CE hours.
10. Serve as subject matter expert for university and accreditation reporting.
11. Serve on curriculum and evaluation committees.
12. Conduct weekly recorded synchronous sessions (Zoom, MS Teams, etc.) for courses with exams.
13. Hold minimum 4 weekly office hours.
14. Analyze and review exams for assigned courses.
15. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• RN license (current and unencumbered) in all states with Workforce Development programs.
• RN license (current and unencumbered) in California.
• Approval by CA BRN as Instructor for specific nursing specialties.
• Master's Degree in Nursing
• Terminal Degree (DNP, EdD, PhD) preferred.
• Meet faculty requirements set by California's Board of Registered Nursing.
• Demonstrated knowledge of nursing practice, student mentorship, effective communication.
• Previous pre-licensure online teaching experience using an LMS.
• Documented background in educational methodology.
• Current clinical practice experience
• Distance education techniques and delivery.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
