Contractor Adjunct Assistant Professor - Chemistry

We are looking for an Online General Education Instructor to join our team.

This position will instruct general education courses in the ASVN, BSN, and RN to BSN degree completion programs.

1. Courses: Anatomy & Physiology, English, Intermediate Algebra, Psychology, Public Speaking, Sociology, Managerial Statistics, Lifespan Development, History, General Chemistry & Organic Biologic Chemistry, Nutrition, Ethics, Political Science, Critical Reasoning

Responsibilities:

• Instruct students and develop coursework for assigned classes.
• Improve instruction quality by reviewing and utilizing different and innovative teaching methodologies/techniques.
• Assist with syllabus and instructional guidelines review/revision.
• Regularly evaluate students, measuring progress towards curriculum and course objectives, informing them of progress in a timely manner.
• Assist with strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives to ensure program quality.
• Maintain student records of attendance, grades, and assist with program data collection.
• Utilize Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver course content, maintaining relevance and currency.
• Provide ongoing student communication through office hours, electronic communication, and other appropriate methods.
• Participate in professional development, maintain CE hours for renewed licensure (if applicable), and stay current with college updates.
• Be committed to teaching and working with a multicultural and multigenerational student body.
• Participate in Quarterly Online Faculty meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Associate Dean-Online Programs/Program Director-Online Nursing.

Requirements:

• Master's Degree required; Doctoral Degree preferred.
• Experience demonstrating ability to mentor students and strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Required: Previous online teaching experience utilizing a Learning Management System (LMS).
• Documented background in educational methodology consistent with teaching assignments, including but not limited to education theory and practice, current concepts relative to specific subjects, or current clinical practice experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products, especially Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and other MS office products as needed.
