Contractor Adjunct Graduate Nursing Faculty (PMHNP)

The successful candidate is responsible for teaching online Graduate Nursing courses (PMHNP). They must have a strong understanding and experience in one or more of the following course areas/specialties:

1. Clinical Modalities in Advanced Psych/MH Nursing (didactic)
2. Psychopathology, Theories & Advanced Clinical Modality (didactic)
3. Psychopharmacology (didactic)
4. Advanced Practice in Psych/MH Nursing I (clinical)
5. Advanced Practice in Psych/MH Nursing II (clinical)

Requirements for Didactic Courses:

• DNP prepared with PMHNP certification
• Unencumbered RN license (for didactic courses) in compact state

Requirements for Clinical Courses:

• MSN or DNP prepared with PMHNP certification
• Eligible for a Pennsylvania Nurse Practitioner (NP) license

Additional Responsibilities:

• Effective communication and leadership in problem-solving with students, preceptors, clinical sites, clinical placement staff, and Wilkes University administration and staff.
• Monitoring and grading clinical logs, providing feedback to students.
• Using InPlace, a clinical log documentation system.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of successful online teaching experience (didactic and clinical) for an accredited university at the graduate level.
• Proven ability to engage students in active learning to meet required course and program outcomes.
• Experience with learning management systems (LMSs); D2L/Brightspace preferred.
