Job Details
We are looking for an Online General Education Instructor to join our team.
This position will instruct general education courses in the ASVN, BSN, and RN to BSN degree completion programs.
- Courses: Psychology, Public Speaking, Sociology, History, Ethics, Political Science, Critical Reasoning
Responsibilities:
- Instruct students and develop coursework for assigned classes
- Improve instruction quality by reviewing and utilizing innovative teaching methodologies
- Assist with syllabus and instructional guidelines revisions
- Evaluate student progress, providing timely feedback
- Assist with strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives
- Maintain student records (attendance, grades), and assist with program data collection
- Utilize the Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver relevant and current course content
- Provide ongoing student communication via office hours, email, and other methods
- Participate in professional development, maintaining CE hours (if applicable) and staying updated on college updates
- Work with a diverse student body
- Participate in Quarterly Online Faculty meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned by Associate Dean-Online Programs/Program Director-Online Nursing
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree required; Doctoral Degree preferred
- Experience: Mentoring students, strong communication skills (verbal and written), previous online teaching experience using an LMS, a documented background in educational methodology, working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
