Contractor Adjunct Instructor-Public Speaking

We are seeking an Online General Education Instructor to join our team as an adjunct professor.

This position will instruct general education courses in the ASVN, BSN, and RN to BSN degree completion programs.

• Courses to be taught: Anatomy & Physiology, English, Intermediate Algebra, Psychology, Public Speaking, Sociology, Managerial Statistics, Lifespan Development, History, General Chemistry & Organic Biologic Chemistry, Nutrition, Ethics, Political Science, Critical Reasoning

Responsibilities include:

• Instruct students and develop coursework for assigned classes
• Continuously improve teaching quality through review and innovative methodologies
• Assist in syllabus and instructional guidelines review and revision
• Regularly evaluate student progress and communicate progress to students
• Assist in strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives
• Maintain student records (attendance, grades)
• Utilize the Learning Management System (LMS) effectively
• Provide ongoing communication via office hours, electronic communication, etc.
• Participate in professional development, maintain required CE hours (if applicable)
• Remain current with college updates and work with diverse students
• Participate in Quarterly Online Faculty meetings
• Other duties as assigned by Associate Dean-Online Programs/Program Director-Online Nursing

Requirements:

• Master's Degree required; Doctoral Degree preferred
• Experience: Demonstrated student mentoring ability, strong verbal and written communication skills
• Previous online teaching experience utilizing an LMS is required
• Documented background in educational methodology consistent with teaching assignments
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
