About the Role: We're hiring an AI Automation Engineer to lead internal AI application implementation. This role focuses on automating work, improving product quality, decision-making, and processes using Large Language Models (LLMs). You'll identify high-impact problems, automate tasks, prototype and deploy AI-powered tools, and supervise AI choices. The role requires a high level of ownership, accountability, and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain internal AI-powered tools to automate existing work and improve productivity.
• Use AI to automate your own software development process.
• Collaborate with teams to understand pain points and implement AI solutions.
• Rapidly prototype and deploy AI-enabled utilities.
• Supervise AI choices in architecture, libraries, and technologies. Debug complex systems.
• Own systems handling sensitive data and business-critical logic.
• Work cross-functionally to ensure tool adoption and value delivery.
• Stay updated on the latest AI models and tools.

Minimum Requirements:

• Availability for meetings during coordination hours (Mon-Fri: 9am-3pm Pacific Time).
• Experience creating LLM-backed tools (prompt engineering, automated evaluations).
• 5+ years of full-stack development experience with strong Python, React, and JavaScript skills.
• Excellent debugging skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• High ownership and accountability, especially with sensitive or business-critical data.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with shifting priorities.
• Cross-functional collaboration experience.
• Strong collaborative mindset.

Salary (US Candidates only): $155,656 - $225,160 USD + equity + benefits.
