Contractor AI Software Developer

We’re Stack Builders, a US software consultancy. We seek an experienced AI Software Developer to join our remote team.

This remote contractor role requires:

• Hands-on expertise with Amazon Bedrock
• Excellent communication skills
• Understanding of modern software development practices

You will work directly with clients to design, build, and scale AI-powered applications in the canine genetic testing industry.

Requirements:

• Contractor experience, preferably in Canada, Colombia, Brazil, or Argentina (US applicants, ability to work as independent contractor under an LLC, C-Corp, or S-Corp).
• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
• 3+ years of software development experience
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Bedrock and proven ability to build and deploy applications using foundation models
• Strong development skills (Python, TypeScript, Node.js, React, or similar)
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English
• Time zone overlap with EST
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Nice-to-Have:

• Familiarity with AWS services beyond Bedrock (e.g., Lambda, S3, SageMaker)
• Experience in prompt engineering or fine-tuning foundation models
• Experience in software consulting or client-facing development roles

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement software solutions powered by Amazon Bedrock
• Build and fine-tune generative AI workflows and integrations into existing systems
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to define scope and deliverables
• Communicate clearly and proactively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code following best practices
