Full-Time AI Tutor – Chemical Engineering Specialist

Mercor is seeking an AI Tutor – Chemical Engineering Specialist to enhance AI models by providing expert-level input, high-quality annotations, and curated data using proprietary software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide annotations and labeled data for chemical engineering projects.
• Deliver high-quality datasets for model development.
• Collaborate on designing and training new AI tasks.
• Contribute to annotation tool development.
• Analyze complex engineering problems to enhance AI model understanding.
• Interpret and execute task instructions.

Qualifications:

• Master’s or PhD in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Strong English communication and analytical skills.
• Research ability using scientific databases.
• Attention to detail and independent judgment.
• Passion for technological innovation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• PhD in Chemical Engineering.
• Experience applying chemical engineering principles.
• Published research.
• Experience as an AI tutor, technical writer, or educator.
• Background in technical writing or documentation.

Work Environment:

• Full-time, remote or in-person in Palo Alto, CA.
• Training schedule: 9:00am–5:30pm PST for two weeks.
• Must have a Chromebook, Mac (macOS 11+), or Windows 10+ device.
• Reliable smartphone access.
• U.S.-based applicants must reside outside of Wyoming and Illinois.
