Contractor BI Developer

• Works with BI Analysts to understand customer needs.
• Collects, analyzes, and shares data to help business teams drive improvement in key business metrics, customer experience, and business results.
• Utilizes database technologies to design, develop, and evaluate innovative business intelligence tools and automated reports.
• Perform data conversions, imports, and exports of data within and between internal and external software systems
• Merge BI platforms with enterprise systems and applications
• Enhance the performance of business intelligence tools by defining data to filter and indexes
• Document new and existing models, solutions, and implementations
• Troubleshoot BI tools, systems, and software
• Participate in workstream planning process including inception, technical design, development, testing, and delivery of Microsoft BI solutions. Also, in project management estimation process
• Analyze business and functional requirements and translates these requirements into robust, scalable, operable solutions
• Conduct research, make recommendations on BI products & services and maintain interface with vendors
•  Maintain the quality of data and provide input to the development of data/information quality metrics.
• Develop the SSIS ETL project for the automated data processing and user alerting function.
• Make project deliverable documents for Database design and ETL process.

 Technical Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management or related field
• 8 + years of technical expertise (MSSQL)
• At least, for 8 years of Database designing experience for BI system data mart.
• At least, for 6 years of ETL development experience.
• Hands on experience supporting Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication along with strong analytical, problem solving skills
•  Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Requirement

• SQL Server Database administration: 8 years (Required).
• Related technical (Microsoft SSIS Engineer): 6 years (Required)
