Are you a highly skilled and experienced BigCommerce Lead looking for an exciting opportunity? Join McFadyen Digital, a leading eCommerce marketplace solutions advisor and implementer.
Responsibilities:
- Lead development efforts for BigCommerce platform.
- Manage the BigCommerce platform (customizations, integrations, third-party apps).
- Ensure platform optimization for performance, scalability, and security.
- Mentor and guide development team.
- Conduct code reviews and adherence to best practices.
- Lead the design and development of custom BigCommerce themes, plugins, and extensions.
- Implement advanced customizations (API integrations, third-party services).
- Optimize and maintain existing BigCommerce stores.
- Develop and implement custom solutions (API integrations, custom plugins).
- Ensure seamless integration with other systems (ERP, CRM, payment gateways).
Technical Leadership:
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior developers.
- Conduct code reviews for quality assurance.
- Collaborate with project managers and designers.
Performance Optimization:
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Implement caching strategies and optimize database queries.
Quality Assurance:
- Establish and enforce quality assurance processes.
- Identify and resolve technical issues/bugs.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with BigCommerce updates and industry trends.
- Promote continuous learning and improvement.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (UX/UI, product managers, marketing).
- Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Top 5 Qualifications:
- Deep expertise in BigCommerce development (Stencil, APIs, custom theme/plugin).
- Strong proficiency in front-end and back-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Node.js, Java).
- Experience with RESTful API development and third-party integrations.
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of cloud services and performance optimization.
