Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Biller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing and coding, ensuring accurate and timely processing of medical claims. 

Duties

- Review and verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors 

- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies 

- Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe 

- Utilize medical collection strategies to minimize accounts receivable 

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines and relevant regulations 

- Collaborate with the medical records team to ensure proper documentation for billing 

- Utilize ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG coding systems effectively 

- Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers regarding billing issues

Experience

 - Proven experience in medical billing and coding 

- Proficiency in Medical Terminology 

- Familiarity with Medical Office procedures 

- Strong understanding of ICD-9, ICD-10 coding systems 

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
