As a billing specialist, you will ensure claims are submitted promptly and accurately.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Claims Review and Processing: Review claims prior to submission for accuracy and completeness. Timely processing and submission of claims, tracking claims throughout their life cycle. Monitors claim statuses and follows up on claims.
- Managing Rejections, Denials, and Appeals: Resolves claim errors and communicates issues. Resolves disputed claims by consulting with stakeholders.
- Payment Timeliness: Monitors claim payments and flag for provider direct-payment. Monitor and process payments based on SLA requirements.
- Cross-Functional Reporting and Stakeholder Collaboration: Preparing reports on claims trends and identifying issues. Provide direct provider support for billing inquiries. Providing timely responses to health plan points-of-contact.
- Compliance and Documentation: Meticulous record-keeping of claim submissions. Stays up-to-date on information required for claims submission and remittance.
- Other billing assignments, within skills and abilities. Providing technical assistance and training to team members. Supporting product team in insights to enhance product.
