About the role

As a member of our Professional Services team, you will closely collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to architect and deliver cutting-edge digital solutions tailored to client needs.

Responsibilities

• Identify and collaborate with departments (Government, 3rd and Private Sectors) maintaining data platforms to understand existing and future plans.
• Manage and optimize technology platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks).
• Oversee storage patterns (data lake, data warehouse, data lakehouse).
• Support primary use cases (reporting, analytics, AI/ML).
• Work with diverse data sources (relational, flat files, APIs, streaming).
• Handle various data formats (structured, semi-structured, unstructured).
• Utilize tools for data processing (Python, SQL, Spark, Azure Data Factory, Airflow, Dagster, dbt).
• Manage data volumes and ingestion rates (ad-hoc, monthly, daily, real-time).
• Implement tooling for defining and sharing metrics with users.
• Manage tools for collecting, organizing, and publishing metadata.
• Establish processes and tools for monitoring data usage and performance metrics.
• Enforce least privilege principles through schema, table, column, and row-level access controls.
• Ensure compliance with data retention policies (e.g., GDPR).
• Facilitate secure data sharing with external entities.
• Monitor and improve data quality.
• Provide onboarding and support for users of the data platform.
• Use analytics tools (Jupyter Notebook, RStudio, SQL) to manipulate and analyze data.
• Utilize data visualization tools (Dash, RShiny, PowerBI, Quicksight) for target audiences (operational, policy, leadership, public).
• Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals (data engineering, data analysis, data architecture, data science, ML Ops, analytics engineering, SRE).
• Work within teams of varying sizes and seniority levels.
