We’re looking for a Cloud DevOps Engineer who is passionate about cloud security, automation, and building modern, scalable infrastructure. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and takes ownership of delivering secure, reliable systems on AWS using Terraform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, maintain, and enhance secure AWS infrastructure using Terraform (including EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, and related services).
- Develop and maintain internal tooling and automation scripts.
- Lead and optimise CI/CD pipelines, including deployment automation, rollback strategies, and release management.
- Define and meet reliability and availability targets, implementing proactive monitoring and alerting.
- Champion cloud security by enforcing best practices, conducting threat modelling, and performing regular vulnerability assessments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement and high-quality software delivery.
- Write and maintain scripts and tools in Python, Rust, and other languages as needed.
- Support high-availability systems, disaster recovery testing, and infrastructure incident response.
- Identify opportunities for automation, improved documentation, and team enablement.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (IAM, EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, etc.).
- Proficiency in Terraform and infrastructure-as-code best practices.
- Solid understanding of cloud security, identity and access management, encryption, and network security.
- Experience with Python and/or Rust, and a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Familiarity with containerisation (Docker) and orchestration tools.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch).
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a focus on automation, reliability, and continuous improvement.
