Job Requirements
- Junior in College entering senior year in fall of 2025
- Possess US citizenship or green card
- Interest in Cloud Technologies: Demonstrated interest in cloud computing, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with an interest in automating processes and improving workflows
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work well in a team environment, with good communication and collaboration skills
- Eagerness to Learn: A willingness to learn new technologies and tools quickly and ability to work independently and in collaboration with other teams.
- Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively and work on multiple projects
- Final year students only.
Internal Tooling & Platform
- Basic programming skills in one or more languages (Python, JavaScript, Ruby, etc.)
- Familiarity with web development frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Node.js) or backend technologies (e.g., Django, Flask)
- Understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and experience with querying and data manipulation
Cloud Support Intern
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving cloud infrastructure issues, including networking, storage, compute, and security challenges.
- Support internal teams and clients by providing timely responses to cloud-related queries and technical support requests.
- Monitor cloud environments using tools and dashboards to ensure high availability and performance of cloud resources.
- Participate in incident management and escalation processes, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to implement cloud infrastructure improvements and automate routine tasks using scripting.
- Document common issues, troubleshooting steps, and cloud environment configurations to enhance the team’s knowledge base.
- Assist with cloud security best practices, ensuring the cloud environment is compliant and secure.
Learning Objectives:
- Gain practical experience in supporting cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and troubleshooting cloud-related issues.
- Learn how to monitor and maintain cloud infrastructure to ensure reliability and security.
- Develop skills in automating routine tasks and deployments using scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Improve your understanding of cloud architecture, networking, and cloud security best practices.
- Learn how to provide technical support to clients and internal stakeholders in a professional setting.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud concepts such as compute, storage, networking, and security.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Familiarity with at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.).
- Strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms, either through coursework, personal projects, or internships.
- Knowledge of cloud monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Stackdriver) and logging.
- Familiarity with cloud automation tools and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) technologies like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Understanding of security best practices and compliance in cloud environments.
