Job Overview:Cloud Security Engineer responsible for maintaining cloud infrastructure security by identifying, characterizing, and mitigating security vulnerabilities. The role involves working with internal teams and external vendors to ensure security best practices during cloud solution design, testing, and deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and assess security risks in cloud infrastructure, and develop remediation plans.
- Collaborate with cloud engineers and vendors to implement automated vulnerability management solutions.
- Conduct security audits and assessments of cloud environments.
- Utilize security tools like Ankor, Tenable, and Checkpoint Software to detect and resolve cloud system vulnerabilities.
- Ensure security measures are integrated into cloud deployments, working with internal teams.
- Monitor and address security alerts in cloud environments, leveraging industry standard monitoring tools.
- Assist in transitioning to Red Hat OpenShift and aligning security practices with this shift.
- Provide guidance on the security implications of automation and cloud infrastructure management.
Must Have Skills:
- Strong cloud security experience, including cloud infrastructure security tools.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, OpenStack, and Red Hat OpenShift.
- Solid understanding of cloud security best practices and risk mitigation strategies.
- Experience with vulnerability assessment tools (e.g., Ankor, Tenable, Checkpoint).
- Experience with security monitoring and performance optimization tools.
- Strong collaboration skills to address security concerns with internal teams and vendors.
- Knowledge of automated methods for reporting and remediating vulnerabilities.
Good to Have Skills:
- Familiarity with IMS and VoIP technologies.
- Experience with cloud performance and security monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, shell scripting) for automating security tasks.
