The Opioid Abatement Strategies Effectiveness Evaluation (OASEE) seeks a Community Ambassador to work on an evaluation project related to opioid overdose prevention, response, and recovery in Illinois. This role involves community engagement, data collection, and assisting with reports.
- Responsibilities:
- Completing evaluation planning
- Conducting data collection, including surveys, interviews, and focus groups
- Conducting data interpretation and analysis
- Assisting with writing, editing materials, and developing recommendations
- Assisting in technical assistance related to evaluation project
- Participating in engagement and relationship-building with organizations
- Integrating community-based perspectives and lived experiences
- Participating in virtual weekly staff team meetings
- Traveling once yearly for meetings, trainings, and/or conferences in Illinois
Skills & Experience:
- At least 2 years related experience in community engagement related to substance use disorder
- Experience with data collection, research, and evaluation activities with social service agencies in Illinois
- Proficiency with computer applications
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Individuals who have lived and living recovery experience
- Experience and/or knowledge about the multiple pathways of recovery
- Community engagement experience in southern Illinois
- Ability to travel
