Full-Time Computer Vision Engineer

At Trunk Tools, we're automating construction. Our team, with backgrounds from SpaceX, Stanford, MIT, and more, has built software used by 140k+ construction users, and worked on projects valued at over $2B. We're now deploying workflows, starting with an AI chatbot.

Responsibilities:

• Enhance our image understanding capabilities for construction documents (blueprints, schematics, site photos).
• Develop and deploy computer vision models (image classification, object detection, segmentation).
• Integrate vision models into existing workflows.
• Design efficient labeling processes for training proprietary algorithms.
• Process and analyze diverse documents (images, text, tables).
• Design and conduct experiments to improve model performance and robustness.

Requirements:

• MS/PhD in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Robotics, or related field.
• 5+ years experience in computer vision, building production-ready systems.
• Proficiency in Python, ML, and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow), and computer vision libraries (OpenCV).
• Strong image processing, feature extraction, and visual data analysis skills.
• Experience with visual transformers and LLM-based applications/RAG systems.
• Interest in the construction industry.
• Bonus: Experience with multi-modal LLMs, construction-specific visual data (blueprints).
