Opportunity at a Glance Contributing faculty educate Walden University Students using online technology and resources.
Responsibilities:
- Training: New Faculty receive training in teaching techniques, electronic learning platform use, policies, and research supervision.
- Course Teaching: Interact with students via the eCollege platform, provide timely feedback, and verify student work accuracy.
- Availability: Be accessible to students, providing feedback on assignments and postings.
- Residencies: Attend Residencies held domestically or internationally, where they will teach intensives and colloquia, and facilitate school and university-wide discussions.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Complies with all policies and standards
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Terminal degree in Psychology, Public Health, Human Services, Business Leadership or Consulting, and any area of behavioral health or related field required.
- Online teaching experience of 3-5 years at the doctoral level preferred
- Experience of serving on doctoral research committees for at least 1 year preferred
- Evidence of continuing scholarly or creative work within the past 5 years.
- Proficient in APA 7th edition
- Strong research methodology background in qualitative case study methods preferred
- Excellent leadership, communication, team, and human relation skills
- Experience working in an online instructional setting at the graduate level
Licensing/Certification: Faculty must be appropriately credentialed and may be expected to be licensed or license-eligible.
Technology Requirements: Personal computer with virus protection and Internet access required.
