Responsibilities

1. Instruction: Inclusive teaching recognizes diverse identities and lived experiences, employing strategies to connect meaningfully with students' lives and professional development. A welcoming classroom environment is fostered through varied communication, engaging learning experiences, consistent feedback, and individualized support.
2. Dedication: Dedication to Walden's mission and vision.
3. Accessibility: Accessibility through various channels (email, phone, text, office hours, appointments).
4. Scholarship: Faculty engage in scholarship aligned with Walden's mission, coordinated with academic leadership.
5. Service: Faculty demonstrate service to the institution and broader community, coordinated with academic leadership.
6. Other Duties: Adherence to Walden University faculty expectations, participation in meetings, residencies, workshops, commencement, training sessions, maintaining a student-friendly schedule (evenings/weekends).

Qualifications

• Doctorate in relevant field required.
• Preferred: Diverse perspective consideration, capacity for individualized support, experience with doctoral capstone projects.

Work Experience

• Minimum 3 years teaching experience or demonstrated capacity for a welcoming and inclusive environment.
• Experience supporting doctoral research committees, mentoring a diverse doctoral student population, or distance learning.
• Preferred: Experience mentoring doctoral students on capstone projects, focusing on evidence-based decision-making.

Compensation

Graduate Course Instruction: $1,560 - $4,080 per Quarter/Semester, dependent on course type/length.
Undergraduate Course Instruction: $700 - $2,200 per quarter, dependent on course type/length. Actual pay may vary by factors including course type, experience, location, and licensure.
