College of Interdisciplinary Undergraduate Studies This new unit brings together undergraduate general education and non-licensure B.S. programs (Communication, Psychology, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Human Services, Health Studies, Health Care Management, Health Policy, Early Childhood Studies).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Walden provides undergraduate instruction in course-based (6-week terms) and competency-based (subscription) asynchronous modalities.
- Provide Course instruction as assigned.
- Engage in classrooms at least 4 days a week.
- Facilitate and engage in discussion boards.
- Assess student work and provide timely feedback.
- Be available to students via video chat or phone.
- Occasional additional duties:
- Course content development
- Committee service
- Administrative support
- Course maintenance
- Build a supportive virtual classroom.
- Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors
Training All new faculty receive training on LMS, policies, procedures, degree programs, Walden culture, academic integrity (TurnItIn.com and AI use), and mentorship.

Qualified candidates
- Humanities/Social Sciences background (History, Sociology, Philosophy, Popular Culture, Anthropology, Introductory Psychology)
- Commitment to supporting adult learners
- Experience serving diverse adult learners
- Collaborative skills and support of positive student experience
- Completion of appropriate advanced degrees and experience in the field
- Experience building and fostering online communities
- Online teaching experience assumed
- Research/scholarship and community involvement valued but teaching experience preferred.
Compensation Graduate instruction: $1,560 - $4,080/Quarter or Semester. Undergraduate instruction: $700 - $2,200/Quarter. Adjustments based on job-related factors are possible.
