Job Summary:
Financial firm looking to hire a part-time copyeditor for their Global Carbon Markets Research team. The workload would be variable but would average around 20 hours a week.
The team is a market leader in providing in-depth analysis across environmental markets. The research published covers a wide array of different environmental markets, including the European Union Emissions Trading System, the UK ETS, the China ETS, the Voluntary Carbon Market, UN environmental policy, American Environmental markets, and much more. If you can think of a carbon market, they probably write about it!
Must-Have Requirements:
- At least 3 years copy-editing or journalist experience
- Familiarity with Commodities and/or Financial Markets a must
- Excellent written English skills, including a thorough grasp of grammar and punctuation
- Understanding of libel law, and ability to adhere to editorial standards
- Comfortable editing text from non-native English speakers, including reworking of structure
Preferred Requirements:
- Expertise in Carbon Markets
Requirements:
The successful candidate should have a native or highly advanced grasp of written English and be comfortable editing and rearranging text from non-native English speakers. Further, the candidate should be familiar with how language choices can impact liability and ensure that all published content meets editorial guidelines. This role also provides an opportunity for the successful candidate to collaborate in planning and drafting new analysis, if of interest.
