The Creative Director will lead part of the creative team, responsible for conceptualization, design, and execution of creative projects for multiple clients.
This role provides strategic and critical thought leadership, incorporating a connected consumer experience across multiple channels.
- Guides multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring overall quality.
- Executes and delivers creative work based on priorities to meet or exceed expectations.
- Oversees production of client needs and collaborates regularly with the Executive Creative Director.
- Works on high-profile/high-priority client projects, including daily deliverables and special projects.
- Follows projects throughout all stages of creative execution through deployment.
- Understands and communicates business objectives, translating them into creative strategies.
- Clearly communicates creative vision to clients and gives direction to the internal team.
- Creates compelling presentations, including visuals and messaging, to tell stories.
- Leads client discovery sessions, presenting and communicating how concepts meet objectives and expectations.
- Manages and mentors a team of designers, copywriters, and production artists, leading by example to motivate and drive success.
- Reviews work and provides effective, actionable feedback in a timely manner.
- Ensures visual communication and brand standards are met, leading brainstorming sessions as needed.
- Takes ownership, leads initiatives, and executes creative development while managing expectations and workload to meet deadlines.
- Promotes collaboration, support, and inclusion to create a positive work environment.
- Identifies opportunities for creative talent recruitment and development.
- Communicates cross-functionally with client stakeholders, internal partners, and senior leadership.
- Evaluates trends, data, and creative techniques to keep brand vision active and evolving.
Job Knowledge & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in marketing/advertising, focusing on retail and institutional creative.
- Experience with print, digital, and environmental design.
Skills & Certifications
- Strong portfolio of imaginative and compelling work.
- Emphasis on concepts, omni-channel marketing, and creative strategy.
- Proficiency in industry-standard creative applications (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, MS Office).
- Deep experience in print & production.
- Meticulous attention to detail, refining processes as needed.
- Strong project management, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Excellent presentation and storytelling skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Salary
Salary plus incentive program. $50,000 to $150,000 / year (location-dependent). Final salary is typically not at the top end of the range.
