POSITION TITLE: Customer Trainer - Konecranes Training Institute (KTI)
REPORTS TO: Amy Schroeder - Director of Training - KTI
The Customer Trainer plays a key role in delivering both classroom-based and hands-on training to customers. Instruction is conducted onsite or at Konecranes training facilities.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct training sessions (classroom & practical).
- Conduct occasional webinar training.
- Administer assessments, quizzes, & tests.
- Assist in developing/updating instructional materials.
- Evaluate training program effectiveness.
- Collaborate with trainers to stay updated on industry regulations.
- Adapt materials to meet learning needs.
- Complete training session documentation.
- Serve as a resource for technical questions.
- Assist in safety training, as needed.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Electrical Schematics & Circuitry: Read/interpret wiring diagrams, control circuits, and schematics.
- Motor & Drive Systems: Troubleshoot AC/DC motors, VFDs, and motor starters.
- Brakes & Hoisting Mechanisms: Inspect/maintain brake systems, hoists, and wire ropes.
- Mechanical Components: Maintain gearboxes, bearings, and structural alignment.
- Preventive Maintenance: Plan and perform regular maintenance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 5 years experience operating/maintaining overhead/mobile cranes.
- Proven experience as a technical trainer or similar role.
- Trade school degree (or equivalent) in industrial subject is preferred.
- Excellent presentation & communication skills.
- Ability to break down complex technical concepts.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- 100% travel required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Current CIC, NCCER, or NCCCO certification (Mobile Crane operation) is a plus.
