Position Overview:

We seek a Data Architect as technical leader to design and implement scalable, flexible, and efficient data architectures.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, high-performance data architectures for reporting, analytics, and BI.
• Integrate diverse data sources (Shopify, Funraise, Braze) into a unified architecture.
• Continuously refine data models and infrastructure.
• Develop creative solutions for data challenges.
• Lead migration and modernization of data platforms.
• Guide data modeling, performance tuning, and storage optimization.
• Establish best practices for ETL/ELT workflows.
• Utilize cloud-based data platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Stay informed on emerging technologies.
• Implement data validation, monitoring, and anomaly detection.
• Document data lineage, metadata, and governance policies.
• Develop technical documentation.
• Estimate costs for data solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize data investments.
• Mentor data engineers on architectural decisions.
• Translate data requirements into scalable solutions.
• Bridge technical and non-technical teams.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in data architecture.
• Deep expertise in data modeling, performance tuning, and optimization.
• Strong SQL and Python skills.
• Experience with modern data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks).
• Expertise in ETL/ELT tools (Fivetran, Stitch, dbt, Airflow).
• Understanding of data quality, lineage, and governance.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Collaborative mindset.
• Remote work experience.
