Position Overview:
We seek a Data Architect as technical leader to design and implement scalable, flexible, and efficient data architectures.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable, high-performance data architectures for reporting, analytics, and BI.
- Integrate diverse data sources (Shopify, Funraise, Braze) into a unified architecture.
- Continuously refine data models and infrastructure.
- Develop creative solutions for data challenges.
- Lead migration and modernization of data platforms.
- Guide data modeling, performance tuning, and storage optimization.
- Establish best practices for ETL/ELT workflows.
- Utilize cloud-based data platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Stay informed on emerging technologies.
- Implement data validation, monitoring, and anomaly detection.
- Document data lineage, metadata, and governance policies.
- Develop technical documentation.
- Estimate costs for data solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize data investments.
- Mentor data engineers on architectural decisions.
- Translate data requirements into scalable solutions.
- Bridge technical and non-technical teams.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in data architecture.
- Deep expertise in data modeling, performance tuning, and optimization.
- Strong SQL and Python skills.
- Experience with modern data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks).
- Expertise in ETL/ELT tools (Fivetran, Stitch, dbt, Airflow).
- Understanding of data quality, lineage, and governance.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
