We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our remote-first team.
Role Overview: You will design, build, and maintain robust data platforms for critical insights. You'll collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to deliver solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve existing data systems using DBT, Fivetran, and Tableau.
- Model a large marketing dataset using DBT.
- Troubleshoot data pipeline issues using Fivetran, CloudWatch.
- Collaborate closely with the engineering and data science teams.
- Ensure clarity and accuracy in reports and dashboards.
- Adhere to clean coding and refactoring practices.
Requirements:
- Eligible to work as an independent contractor in the Americas.
- Must be available to overlap with Eastern Standard Time (EST).
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Demonstrated ownership mindset.
- 3-5 years of data engineering experience with deep hands-on experience in DBT.
- Proficiency with DBT, Python, SQL (Redshift/Postgres), Git.
- Experience with Fivetran, AWS Glue, Tableau, Metabase.
- Comfort with debugging data pipelines, maintaining legacy systems.
Salary: $45 - $55/hr (dependent on skills and experience).
