Data Research Intern at RainFocus
RainFocus is seeking a Data Research Intern to assist the operations team with market research.
Daily Tasks Include:
- Researching events across the US
- Quantifying event metrics
- Providing insights from the data
- Managing the database of findings
- Handling ad-hoc requests
Essential Responsibilities:
- Data Research: Manage a predefined list of events, researching, collecting, and organizing data into a digestible format. Become familiar with the events industry, including market segments, key players, and nuances in event management. Uncover unique paths to find difficult-to-find information and contacts. Build formulas in Excel or Google Sheets to analyze data.
- Salesforce.com Data Entry: Learn Salesforce.com CRM, leverage Discover.Org and LinkedIn to capture event contacts and enter details into Salesforce.com. Create basic Salesforce reports.
- Build Database of Q&A: Document questions and answers for data issues and document tricks for finding event information.
- Assist Operations Team: Assist the operations team with related tasks and analysis of market data. Complete other ad-hoc projects as needed.
Required Skills:
- Currently working towards a bachelor's degree
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Advanced Google search engine skills and deep web navigation
- Understanding of data management best practices
- Awareness of project management skills and timelines
