Position Overview: The Development Associate will support fundraising and partnerships for the program. Gain hands-on experience in fundraising and relationship building. Strong experience in fundraising or relationship management is desired. Support and cultivate a community of donors, advisors, and partners. Excellent attention to detail, writing, research, and organization skills are needed. High-touch relationships and event support required. A wonderful opportunity for an effective, detail-oriented, self-starter.
Responsibilities:
- Writing and Research: Drafting, reviewing, and copy-editing correspondence and collateral. Researching prospective donors, advisors, and partners. Developing communications and collateral for the TED Fellows community. Researching and collating articles for the donor pipeline. Compiling dossiers for alignment and risk assessment.
- Event and Meeting Support: Facilitating planning and scheduling meetings and events. Cultivating and nurturing relationships. Managing the Director's calendar and events. Tracking invitation RSVPs and event preferences. Compiling materials for potential donors, advisors, and partners. Providing onsite event support.
- Information Management: Building a system for organizing and tracking donor and partner communications. Ideating, executing, and improving systems for partner data. Maintaining data for relationship management. Exporting reports and analytics; implementing improvements.
- Collaboration: Sharing donor updates across the Fellows team. Collaborating with other verticals and TED teams. Creating and distributing the Fellows end-of-year Impact Report.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of work experience
- Experience in the nonprofit sector, network-building, customer service, or fundraising
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Strong document management and quality control
- Excellent written communication skills
- Research experience
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to travel (as needed)

Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 USD, commensurate with experience.
