Intern Digital Reporter Intern

The Digital Reporter Intern contributes to ONC’s mission by completing essential tasks within ONC’s Marketing department, specifically on the Social Media team. This intern's role will play a vital part in delivering timely news updates and topic breakdowns on our social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver timely news updates and breakdowns of topics tailored for social media platforms.
• Conduct on-the-street interviews with members of the public and college students to gather diverse perspectives.
• Collaborate with the social media team to create engaging video reels.
• Collaborate with the CEO to research and evaluate ethical AI applications.
• Contribute to strategic brainstorming sessions.
• Research AI tools to enhance content production.
• Coordinate with the social media team lead to ensure alignment with content strategy.
• Monitor audience feedback and engagement metrics.
• Actively participate in coaching sessions to enhance reporting skills and public speaking abilities.

Qualifications:

• Strong interest in broadcast journalism, public speaking, and digital media.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and confidence in conducting on-the-street interviews.
• Ability to distill complex topics into concise content for social media.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (English).
• Ability to conduct in-person interviews and work independently.
• Google Workspace experience preferred.
• Commitment to at least the end of the Summer semester (August 31st, 2025).

Additional Requirements:

• Must be authorized to intern in the U.S.
• Must include a one-page cover letter.
• Attend weekly Organization-Wide and Marketing Department meetings.
