Role OverviewAs the Director of Developer Community, you will build and nurture relationships across the PyTorch Foundation's diverse project ecosystem. Focus on understanding and addressing the needs of AI researchers, developers, and engineers using our projects (PyTorch framework, vLLM, DeepSpeed).
Work closely with internal teams to ensure community voice is heard and represented, and identify potential new projects benefiting from Foundation support.

- Evaluate and recommend new open-source projects.
- Developer Advocacy and Technical Communication

- Coordinate cross-project initiatives and knowledge sharing.

- Cross-functional Collaboration

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 8+ years of developer relations, technical community management, or similar experience.
- Strong technical background in AI/ML.
- Hands-on development experience.
- Ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts.
- Relationship-building skills within technical communities.
- Strategic thinking and technical project evaluation skills.
- Experience managing multiple technical communities.
- Understanding of open-source project evaluation and growth.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Presentation experience at technical conferences.
- Public speaking and presentation skills.
- (Preferred): PyTorch or similar deep learning framework experience, ML research/development experience.

Salary: $165,000 - $220,000
