TRUEWERK is seeking an experienced marketplace expert to drive growth on key online platforms. Reporting to the VP of Ecommerce, you'll collaborate with marketing and operations to expand TRUEWERK's brand presence and connect with trade professionals.
As the Director of Marketplaces, you'll lead strategy, execution, and optimization across Amazon, Walmart, and emerging marketplaces.
This role is both strategic and hands-on. You will guide cross-functional initiatives, scale operations, enhance customer experience, and improve marketplace performance.
This is a hybrid role, requiring regular on-site time in Denver, CO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own marketplace performance, managing revenue, profitability, and operational efficiencies.
- Develop and execute strategies for Amazon, Walmart, and emerging marketplaces.
- Define growth plans leveraging data and market trends.
- Identify and develop a roadmap for new marketplace opportunities.
- Develop and monitor KPIs across sales, advertising, contribution margin, and operational performance.
- Partner with finance, performance marketing, and leadership for monthly revenue forecasts.
- Develop and implement reporting frameworks for informed decision-making.
- Oversee listing optimization, pricing, and inventory management for Amazon and Walmart.
- Manage relationships with marketplace account managers to stay ahead of updates.
- Collaborate with supply planning and fulfillment teams for optimal inventory and customer experience.
- Optimize media and retail strategies with the agency partner, overseeing Amazon Advertising (AMS) and Walmart Connect.
- Partner with marketing, operations, and customer service to drive an integrated marketplace strategy.
- Connect in-house and agency creative teams for seamless content creation.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of ecommerce and marketplace experience with DTC brands.
- Proven track record of growing marketplace businesses, owning revenue and profitability.
- Deep expertise in Amazon Seller Central, Amazon Advertising, Walmart Marketplace, and/or Walmart Connect.
- Experience with Shopify/Shopify Plus, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems.
- Strong performance management skills, data-driven approach.
- Proven ability to develop and execute marketplace strategies, including product, promotion, and listing optimization.
- Experience leading cross-functional collaboration.
- Advanced analytical skills, proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets, and relevant marketplace reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
