Full-Time Engineering Team Lead

As an Engineer, you'll have a large impact on technical implementation and technology roadmap.

1. Lead a team of engineers to build future products.
2. Grow the engineering team in a fast-paced organization.
3. Collaborate with product teams for product and technology roadmap.
4. Develop team level processes for software and technical methodologies.
5. Evaluate existing engineering tools and processes, recommending improvements.
6. Recommend and prototype new technologies for improved system performance and reliability.
7. Mentor the engineering team and help grow their skills, ensuring high-quality deliverables and testing standards.
8. Analyze requirements and provide technical and functional recommendations.

What You'll Bring:

• 7+ years software development experience, 3+ in leadership.
• Champion of agile methodologies, shipping code often.
• Strong organizational skills in engineering plans, scheduling, and budgets.
• Coach/mentor individuals to improve their performance.
• Break down complex problems into incremental solutions.
• Proactively improve engineering technologies and culture.
• Collaborative environment where everyone helps grow.
• Take ownership for product quality and excellent communication.
• Understand early-stage company priorities.
• Understand rebuilding legacy systems, microservice architecture, and scalable platforms.
• Proven experience in leading an engineering team, dedicated to team and individual growth.
• Experience building Restful APIs using PHP/Laravel and JavaScript/React.
• Knowledgeable in database technologies and domain design.
• Experience building frontend testing and automation systems (unit, integration, regression, user acceptance tests)
• Skills in DevOps, Big Data/Data Science, Machine Learning, and GIS are highly desired.
