Summer Internship Opportunity: This is a summer internship from June to August 2025.
High travel required: 80% travel throughout the Greater Boston area.
Position Overview: Field Services Technician performing installation, calibration, and maintenance of continuous monitoring units at client sites in Boston, MA.
Responsibilities:
- Field calibration of real-time indoor air quality sensors.
- Travel with system installation, calibration, and troubleshooting equipment and manuals.
- Inspect and troubleshoot systems onsite, using hand tools for sensor repairs.
- Document field activities and upload to central system daily.
- Communicate unresolved issues timely.
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols and company standard operating procedures.
- Demonstrate safe driving behavior and maintain satisfactory driving record.
- Obtain and maintain CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) certification (MA).
- Provide excellent customer service to SmartSense clients.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, plus 2 years experience in science or technology.
- Associate's degree or equivalent in science or technology.
- Bachelor's degree in science or technology (preferred).
- Experience in an environmental or industrial hygiene laboratory (preferred).
- Valid driver's license.
- Proficient English language skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Basic mathematical and reasoning skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to travel up to 80% locally (within 3 hours).
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs.
