Finance Analyst - Commercial

To provide commercial support and advice to the Endeavour Group Merchandise Team, using data to drive performance reporting, planning and insightful analysis that improves and supports decision-making. This role will be 12 months fixed term.
Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:
- Own and manage the weekly & monthly performance reporting insights, clear communication of key drivers.
- Partner with the Head of Wine and Wine category team to support, develop and maintain robust processes to measure and track financial performance across the Wine category initiatives.
- Support the forecast and budget processes for sales and profit.
- Proactively work with key stakeholders to optimise ways of working across Merchandise
- Responsible for building ad hoc analysis based on the needs of the category teams
- Proactively communicate commercial impacts on past and future activities amongst stakeholders.
- Analyse Initiatives to improve visibility and accountability of the categories financials and performance
- Support strategic and project analysis to drive improved returns on capital investments and business initiatives
- Identify opportunities to liaise with relevant teams on cross functional activities
- Support broader commercial finance team when necessary and ensure Merchandise strategies are widely known across the broader finance
Now let’s talk about you:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- CA / CPA Qualification preferred but not essential
- Strong data analysis and modelling skills to analyse and summarise high volumes of data from a variety of sources
- Strong presentation and communication skills; able to make the complex simple
- Able to ensure the approach and output is simple, structured, accurate and robust
- Strong experience using financial systems in a commercial environment e.g. Excel (pivot tables, vlookups, macros), SAP
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform and / or Tableau a plus
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of retail fundamental
- Ability to translate customer data and insights into meaningful and relevant action
