Financial Analyst - Contract Opportunity in Austin, TX.
The Operations Contract Financial Analyst acts as a financial liaison between operational business units and Contract Financial Management (CFM). Supports operational strategy by aligning financial forecasts, targets, and analysis with business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain financial forecasts, perform variance analysis, and reconcile internal accounts.
- Build financial models and create analysis reports summarizing trends, forecasts, and financial plans for leadership review.
- Conduct trend analysis on monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
- Address inquiries from ancillary staff regarding forecast and financial maintenance processes.
- Research financial issues, provide problem definitions, evaluations, and recommended solutions to management.
- Recommend process improvements to leadership.
- Follow structured procedures for financial reporting and problem-solving.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills/Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
- Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
