As a Financial Analyst Lead, you'll collaborate closely with executive leadership to provide robust financial insights, ensure operational efficiency, and maintain full compliance with UK financial regulations.
Role Focus: Preparing high-quality financial reports, conducting in-depth analysis, and delivering actionable insights to drive strategic decision-making for our growing UK real estate portfolio.
Team & Location: Globally distributed Finance team (UK and remote Philippines-based team).
Work Schedule: Full-time, GMT (London) hours.
Role Type: Independent Contractor.
Compensation: ₱600/hour (starting, based on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy & Optimization: Establish and optimize workflows for clarity, accountability, and alignment with business goals. Collaborate with the Head of Operations and Group Finance Manager to shape strategic financial priorities.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages (P&L, cash flow, balance sheets). Conduct variance analysis, forecast modeling, and business trend reviews for strategic decisions. Lead the preparation of financial insights for senior leadership and investors. Monitor and report on billing, AR, credit control, and cash flow to meet operational targets.
- VAT, Tax, and Compliance: Manage VAT returns and coordinate with UK accountants for compliance deadlines. Ensure adherence to all HMRC standards across multiple entities.
- Billing, AR & Credit Control: Assist with tenant invoicing, credit control efforts. Monitor receivables, resolve disputes, and lead communications with tenants. Strengthen cash collection practices, including automation and enforcement of standing orders.
- Systems & Process Optimization: Champion the use of Xero, Re-Leased, and CRM systems for accuracy and transparency. Identify opportunities for automation and efficiencies across finance functions.
- Project Work & Business Support: Partner with stakeholders on finance projects (e.g., lease restructures, new property onboarding, system upgrades). Support strategic initiatives including budgeting, profitability reviews, and capital planning.
Essential Requirements:
- Legally eligible to work in PH as an Independent Contractor
- Fluent English speaker and writer; confident presenting financial data to non-finance stakeholders
- 6+ years in finance/accounting, strong reporting and analysis experience
- Advanced proficiency with Xero and Excel (certification preferred)
- Deep understanding of UK accounting practices, VAT compliance, and SPV structures
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset
- Highly organized and self-driven in a remote work environment
Bonus Points:
- Team leadership and supervisory experience
- Experience in real estate finance (especially UK market)
- Familiarity with Re-Leased or similar property management accounting tools
- Background in business intelligence, financial modeling, or forecasting tools
