Contractor Financial Copyeditor & Fact-Checker

• 10-20 hours per week
• 100% remote
• Must reside in the United States

What You'll Do:

1. Fact-check sources and copy edit content within Google Docs.
2. Review content in CMS, format correctly, and ensure guidelines are met.
3. Collaborate with the AI development team to ensure accuracy of AI-generated content.
4. Provide feedback on AI-generated outputs to refine content solutions.
5. Communicate with POMs and Writers.
6. Work within Jira Software.

Required Experience:

• Understanding of financial concepts and the global financial landscape.
• Grasp of Foolish investing principles and brand voice.
• Experience in journalism, editing, with knowledge of AP style and journalistic ethics.
• Proficiency in fact-checking methodologies.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong research skills.
• Knowledge of financial compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with AI, digital tools, CMS, and technology used in financial publishing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated impartiality and credibility in fact-checking.
