Full-Time Frontend Engineer

We’re looking for smart, talented and experienced team members that can take ownership, articulate their point of view and back their opinions with a well researched and knowledgeable stance.

Role purpose: Contribute to the ongoing improvement and development of our platform through domain-driven design and continuous deployment of high-quality software code and help the team grow.

What you will be doing:

• Building, improving, and maintaining existing frontend components
• Converting wireframes and mock-ups into fully functioning web applications
• Implementing the structure and design of web app sections
• Developing features to enhance the user experience
• Ensuring web design is optimized for smartphones
• Automating tasks through appropriate tools and scripting
• Supporting validation and verification testing
• Utilising a variety of markup languages to write web pages
• Delivering cross-browser compatibility for the platform
• Creating and maintaining software documentation
• Optimizing web pages for maximum speed and scalability
• Committing to support a safe, mindful, and productive team environment, maintaining open, honest, and respectful communication
• Learning from others and mentoring those around you to help them grow
• Playing an important role in shaping the technical direction of frontend development

Our tech stack: JavaScript (TypeScript), React.js with Chakra-UI, Webpack, Babel, GraphQL + Apollo Client, Cypress, Jest, Ruby/Rails (custom framework inspired by DDD), Postgres, Redis, AWS, CircleCI.

What you need to succeed:

• Degree in Computer Science or related field and 4+ years of experience/ or 6+ years of equivalent experience
• Proficiency with React.js, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript tooling
• Experience with responsive and adaptive design
• Good problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills
