Full-Time Frontend Engineers Web/Mobile

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize responsive UI components using React.js (Web) and React Native (iOS & Android).
• Integrate real-time features like live messaging, match scores, typing indicators, read receipts, etc.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to build a seamless, consistent cross-platform user experience.
• Optimize application for performance, memory usage, and low-latency rendering, especially in media-heavy modules (reels, feeds, video calls).
• Implement and manage state management using tools like Redux, Zustand, or Recoil.
• Work with WebSockets, Push Notifications, and Streaming APIs.
• Implement offline-first behavior with caching and fallback strategies.
• Ensure consistent design with Pixel-perfect UIs using tools like Tailwind, Styled Components, or NativeBase.
• Maintain code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and TypeScript for type safety.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and participate in code reviews and agile sprint planning.

Compensation

Deferred compensation until funding round closes; then full-time, competitive salary & equity.

What We're Looking For

• 7–8 years professional experience in frontend engineering
• Strong experience with:
• React (web) and React Native (mobile)
• TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind or similar
• Mobile app deployment (App Store + Play Store)
• Webpack, Vite, or similar build tools
• Demonstrated startup experience: lean teams, MVPs
• Strong understanding of mobile UX/UI principles
• Bonus for video editing/streaming, real-time messaging, or multilingual apps
• Comfortable working in agile environment with limited resources
• Excited by a mission-driven product bringing people together through football
• Creative problem solver, proposing & supporting new ideas
• Ability to adapt, solve broad problems using various technologies
• Comfortable with ambiguity, shifting priorities
• Exceptional entrepreneurial judgment, fosters independence
• Understanding of football & international sports - a plus
• Role requires some travel
