Area of work: The team provides internal products, tools, services, and frameworks to enable Product teams to focus on customer needs. We collaborate closely with Product teams to boost their productivity and accelerate software delivery.
Role: We are seeking a strategic leader as the Engineering Manager for the Frontend Platform Team. The team builds frontend tools to simplify and accelerate development, currently focusing on modular frontends (microfrontends). Daily tasks include developing tools, automations, standards, and guides to enhance the developer experience.
Managing the team:
- Lead a team of 3-5 senior software engineers.
- Guide technical decisions to meet requirements.
- Collaborate with Staff Engineers to develop a technical strategy.
- Ensure alignment on project goals across teams.
Managing the project:
- Define project scopes and objectives, involving all stakeholders.
- Act as a hands-on project manager and people leader.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
- Build relationships with stakeholders, tech leaders, product managers, legal, and security teams.
Developing people:
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and coaching to team members.
- Provide regular feedback and help team members achieve their career goals.
- Regularly assess team member performance.
- Foster a collaborative, innovative, and inclusive team culture.
Requirements:
- Experience in team building and leadership with strong mentorship skills.
- Proven experience leading similar Frontend Platform teams.
- Understanding of distributed frontend systems.
- Strong technological background.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
