Full-Time Frontend Tech Lead

AirDNA is seeking a Frontend Tech Lead to drive our product experience and technical direction.

Responsibilities:

• Lead frontend technical strategy, championing modern architecture.
• Implement customer-facing features using React, TypeScript, Next.js.
• Shape the frontend guild, aligning engineers across squads.
• Mentor and grow engineers.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Backend Engineers.
• Contribute to backend services (Python, AWS, APIs, Kubernetes) as needed.
• Drive engineering excellence through tooling and CI/CD strategies.
• Represent engineering in planning sessions and roadmap discussions.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years in React and TypeScript.
• Expertise in scaling and optimizing large-scale SPAs.
• Full-stack capability (Python/Django/FastAPI, AWS, data pipelines).
• Experience in leading technical discussions and influencing architecture decisions.
• Passion for mentoring and providing feedback.
• Strong collaboration skills.
• Forward-thinking and up-to-date on frontend trends.

Nice to have:

• Experience with design systems and component libraries.
• Experience with React Query, Recoil, Redux, or similar state management.
• Experience with Google Maps API or data visualization libraries.
• Strong CI/CD and containerization background.
• Familiarity with headless CMS platforms.
• Experience with data-intensive apps and large-scale visualizations.
