Full-Time Full Stack Development Team Lead

As a Full Stack Development Team Lead, you will be part of our Development team and report directly to the Head of Development. Your responsibilities will include managing, mentoring, and guiding a small group of developers while also taking on hands-on architectural duties. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining the architecture for solutions built on the HubSpot platform, which encompasses websites, custom UI extensions, intricate workflows, and API integrations.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams - including developers, marketing consultants, designers, and project managers - will be essential to delivering scalable and innovative solutions. Your expertise will shape the technical strategy, uphold best practices for HubSpot development, and ensure that business needs align with technical implementation.

Experience with HubSpot is preferred, but it is not a requirement.🚀

1. Software Architecture: Architect and design scalable, modular, and maintainable full-stack architectures for HubSpot solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical specifications. Lead development of frontend components and backend integrations using modern technologies. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to developers, promoting continuous improvement. Conduct code reviews ensuring quality and performance optimization. Stay updated on the latest technologies and recommend new tools and practices. Drive innovation and enhance user experience through collaboration. Identify and mitigate technical risks, proposing alternative solutions as needed. Define and implement testing strategies with QA engineers for reliable components. Participate in architectural discussions to improve system design and maintainability. Assist pre-sales in scoping solutions and assessing project feasibility. Maintain strong proficiency in HubSpot, extending capabilities through custom software and integrations.
2. Team Management: Lead and mentor a development team, supporting their technical growth and career development. Collaborate with team members to provide feedback and address concerns. Distribute work based on team members' skills and goals. Create detailed technical briefs and implementation plans. Serve as the main technical liaison between the development team and stakeholders. Coordinate with Project and Resource Management teams to optimize workload and project deadlines. Encourage a positive team culture focused on learning and innovation. 🏗️

To excel in this role, you should have the following:

• Relevant qualification in computer science or software engineering.
• Mid to Senior years work experience in full-stack development experience (frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React/Angular; backend: Node.js, Python, PHP).
• 2+ years in team leadership roles, managing and mentoring technical teams.
• Strong team management and delegation abilities.
• Experience in creating technical briefs and project implementation plans.
• Proven success in leading technical projects.
• Ability to balance technical work with team management.
• Expertise in designing end-to-end systems and understanding architectural patterns like microservices.
• Extensive knowledge of development tools, CI/CD pipelines, and API development (RESTful, GraphQL).
• Solid grasp of performance optimization techniques for both frontend and backend.
• Experience in developing responsive, mobile-first applications with backend integration.
• Strong problem-solving skills for complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with stakeholders.
• Ability to implement functional and non-functional requirements for scalable applications.
• Up-to-date with new technologies and best practices in development.
• In-depth knowledge of HubSpot’s products and APIs, focusing on custom extensions and integrations.
