Full-Time GIS Developer

Timmons Group is seeking an experienced GIS Developer to join our Geospatial Services group working remotely. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining interactive web applications.

Responsibilities:

• Work productively in a team environment, communicating effectively with cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Design, develop, implement, document, and maintain custom geospatial solutions.
• Learn and apply various technologies to deliver solutions.
• Collaborate with team members on requirement definition (user stories, acceptance criteria, sizing/estimation).
• Adhere to agile delivery methodology within a cross-functional team.
• Provide excellent customer service to all clients.

Skills & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of professional experience in geospatial application design, development, and operations.
• Fluency in Esri products (ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ArcPy, ArcGIS for Server, ArcGIS for Portal).
• Understanding of application architecture best practices.
• Understanding of relational database design.
• Experience developing REST Services (ASP.NET Core or Python).
• Experience with full-stack development (SQL, C#, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Experience with source control (Git).
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
• Experience with Linear referenced data.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, JSX, ArcGIS Maps SDK 4.x.
• Experience with Web App Builder Developer Edition and Experience Builder.
