Temporary IEP Consultant - Long Term Temp

As an IEP Consultant, you will play a vital role in shaping individualized education plans that help students thrive. You will collaborate closely with schools and educators to write clear, objective IEP goals and performance levels aligned to student data.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• IEP Development and Documentation
• Write IEP Present Levels of Performance based on detailed teacher reports
• Develop precise, measurable IEP goals aligned with student assessments and strengths
• Ensure all documentation is clear, objective, and student-centered
• Collaboration and Support
• Work closely with school staff to gather and interpret assessment data
• Support and coach a small group of school-based or supplemental staff in IEP processes
• Contribute to cross-team communication to maintain consistent student support
• Quality and Compliance
• Maintain technical knowledge of the SESIS IEP system to ensure accurate records
• Uphold high standards for written descriptions of student progress and next steps
• Manage routine IEP tasks efficiently to meet deadlines

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred, ideally in Special Education or related field
• 3 to 4 years of professional experience directly relevant to special education, such as Special Education Teacher or Coordinator
• Strong writing skills with the ability to produce objective, measurable IEP goals and reports
• Experience with IEP systems and student data interpretation is highly valued
• Ability to work independently with minimal physical demands (primarily desk work)
• Warm, clear communication style with a focus on student-centered planning
