Job Details

Oxfam America's US Domestic Program (USDP) seeks an intern to work with the New Era for Black Women Initiative 60% of the time and support Oxfam's domestic economic and racial justice and worker's rights policy agenda 30% of the time.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning, researching, and writing content for blogs, communications, and presentations.
  • Coordinating and planning internal and external communications with partners and allies.
  • Monitoring the work of partners and allies advocating for economic justice.
  • Tracking social movements and global networks.
  • Working with Public Engagement to curate assets.
  • Conducting research relevant to the initiative and other topics.
  • Providing administrative support for meetings.
  • Providing technical and logistical support for gatherings.
  • Supporting knowledge management, filing, and sharing of files.
  • Providing other administrative and project support.

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, writing, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively

  • Strategic thinking skills

Preferences:

  • Pursuing a graduate degree in Communications or Journalism
  • Previous administrative and research experience
  • Familiarity with Outlook, Zoom and Microsoft Office
  • Interest in global social justice
