The Massachusetts Center of Excellence on Problem Gambling Prevention (MCOE PGP) at Education Development Center (EDC) is seeking a candidate for a paid internship.
This is a one-semester, hybrid position beginning in January for an undergraduate intern based in Massachusetts who can attend in-person meetings at least twice per month. The intern will typically work 1–2 days per week.
The internship is designed to provide a current student majoring in public health with professional work experience.

You will:
- Take part in virtual and in-person meetings.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of presentations.
- Technical Assistance experience.
- Knowledge in public health and prevention services.
- Exposure to servicing communities in Massachusetts.
- Confidence and skills in presenting, facilitating and communicating.
- You have experience and curiosity for community health.
- You enjoy working independently.
- You are hoping to build upon your current presentation and communication skills.
- Interest in public health and problem gambling prevention.
- Demonstrated experience related to community service, youth programs, public health, health equity and/or prevention methods.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to be self-directed and motivated and to work independently.
- Presentation, facilitation and public speaking skills.
- Efficient English writing and speaking skills.
- Proficient Computer Skills in Microsoft Suite, Excel and other tools.
- Bilingual in Spanish, Portuguese, New Chinese, or Haitian Creole
