The International Africa Reporter Intern will cover international content focused on most of continental Africa as their regular beat for Modern Treatise.
Responsibilities:
- Write a weekly column covering the social, economic, and political topics related to most of continental Africa from an African perspective.
- Special continental-related coverage.
Duration: 6 months
This is a virtual and unpaid internship. Yet, you will gain valuable writing experience.
Official Start Date: ASAP
The candidate should be:
- adept at understanding the geopolitics across Africa.
- adept at understanding the nuances of domestic/national politics across Africa.
- able to look at geopolitical subject matters from multiple perspectives.
- adept at relying on fact-based evidence rather than political or activist wish-thinking.
- adept at understanding the ever-shifting state of the economy or economies across Africa.
