Job Details
Primary Role (Suitable for Beginners): Web scraping using HTML and Python on beautiful soup, Selenium, PyCharm and more. Check and ensure data in CSV files matches website data, ensure code works, and store CSV files in Dropbox.
Other Roles (if not assigned Web Scraping): Manual software testing for website and application, documenting issues, bugs, errors, and potential solutions. Automation testing using Cypress.io for bug testing. AI automation testing using the Recombee platform (suitable for Machine Learning, AI, or Data Science majors). Research and development of systems/elements like chatbots or automated responses (if needed). Using Adobe XD to analyze UI/UX prototypes (if needed). Assisting senior developers with project management using Jira (if needed).
Tools: Mainly Skype and Dropbox, but potentially Microsoft Teams with senior developers.
Qualifications: Ideally a current student or recent graduate of an IT-related field (e.g., Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics). Good understanding of basic concepts in Java, Python, SQL, HTML, R code, and other programming languages. Good time management skills. Focus on task completion by day's end.
Bonus Skills: Experience with Python, PyCharm, Selenium, Beautiful Soup, Scrapestorm, Octoparse. AI development experience. Adobe XD experience. Experience with frameworks like Bootstrap, AngularJS, EmberJS, jQuery, Ionic, or full-stack development. Familiarity with deep learning and NLP. Project management skills and experience with tools like Dropbox, AirTable, Jira, Trello, Asana. Creativity and innovative thinking. Interest in DevOps. Passion for automating processes.
Other Requirements: Strong English communication skills. Detail-oriented. Able to execute tasks quickly and handle stress. Communicative and willing to seek help when needed.
Benefits: Work from home throughout internship. Reference letter upon completion. Flexible working times aside from the usual 9am to 6pm (e.g., 8am to 5pm / 7:30am to 4:30pm). Potential for part-time or full-time position after internship, based on performance.
