Job Details
Prepare technical design and develop telematics product features using Java/J2EE and Database related technologies.
Collaborate with product management teams to translate specifications into high-quality deliverables.
Develop service and client-side code and database scripts supporting high-volume transactions.
Produce clean, unit-tested, and refactored code.
Analyze and troubleshoot production issues, design solutions, and stabilize new products.
Analyze and report production issue trends, providing recommendations for improvement.
Improve and expand upon current technologies.
Production issue triage and tracking, troubleshooting, ticket creation and maintenance, assignments, and vendor follow-up.
Satisfy customer requests and provide resolution strategies.
Identify root causes of technical issues and create RCA documents.
Coordinate root cause analysis, problem management, and recurring problem management meetings.
Maintain knowledge of current production systems, best practices, tools, and techniques.
Identify issues and risks related to the Issue/Incident Management program and take escalation actions.
Interact with project teams for new product development, providing insights from previous products' technical issues.
Work flexibly between development and support applications.
Work effectively as a team, display excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
Multitask effectively.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, or a relevant field.
7+ years of experience in development and design with Java, J2EE and database technologies, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role supporting and interfacing with management.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 4 years of recent experience in Java and J2EE technologies.
- Experience in J2EE technologies like Spring framework, iBatis/MyBatis or similar ORM framework, REST/SOAP Web Services, Java design patterns, MVC, JMS and Servlets.
- Hands-on experience in databases like Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL. Capable of writing complex DB queries and performing SQL analysis and tuning.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) concepts.
- Proficient in deploying applications on J2EE Web/Application servers like JBoss, WebLogic and Tomcat.
- Production incident and issue management experience with strong problem-solving and root cause analysis background.
- Experience working on complex technical projects in a multi-vendor project environment.
- Experienced in coordinating with other stakeholders and getting the job done.
- Self-driven in completing the task with less/no supervision.
- Flexible in working mode.
- Ability to work as a team and display excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to multi-task.
